Memory

Introduction

This topic is of course very broad, but as it's something which underpins much of my work, I thought I would at least try and understand it in a number of different ways.

My work on my Family Tree necessarily involves the memories of my grandmothers and my own personal memories of family members who have since passed away. I have included a section of my own recollections under the heading My Memories which will comprise a range of different, unconnected recollections.

The Loci Method particularly interests me, and with the help of Frances A. yates' book 'The Art of Memory' I have begun to explore this fascinating area.

Memorials looks at a whole range of memorials which I have seen or visited over the past few years and which have become relevant in my work. Like all these areas, it will necessarily expand over the course of my research.
